The Iranian EconomistsAssociation (IEA) was founded in 1974 by a group of distinguished Iranianeconomists headed by Professor Dr. Hosain Pirnia. The Association is aprofessional, non-partisan, and independent civic organization. The Associationregular public lectures are held on the last Thursday (see Calendar) of eachmonth (according to the Iranian calendar year), 10:00-12:00 a.m., in the 400-seat auditorium, located on the 10th floor of the ICCIM Building. Thelectures would not be presented on the official Iranian holidays and the summermonths. The guest speakers are amongst the highly qualified academicians, government officials, and experts from private sector. The topics discussed areamongst the current domestic and internationally related issues affecting Iranianeconomy. The Association is recognized by and registered with the IranianMinistry of Interior and the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, andTechnology (Reg. # 1425).
